Rainbow Six Siege's Crystal Guard update is coming in Y6S3 and we're here to talk about the Twitch Operator changes that are coming in the latest title update from Ubisoft. The Pre-Season Designer's Notes tell-all ahead of the new season.
Twitch Operator Changes - Patch Notes
Ubisoft has shared their Pre-Season Designer's Notes ahead of Y6S3 and we now know what changes are going to be made to Twitch and her unique Operator ability going forwards.
Essentially... Twitch's Shock Drones can jump now. It's huge, really...
- Equipped with a regular drone during Preparation Phase - only 1 regular drone is available;
- Shock Drone can jump;
- Shock Drone's projectile changed to laser (from taser);
- Deals 5hp damage (from 1);
- Has infinite range;
- Does not disable electronic devices;
- Shock Drone has a larger bullet collision (double the size);
When does Y6S3 - Crystal Guard - start?
Rainbow Six Siege's next major title update - which will usher in the start of Y6S3 - is due to arrive on August 30th. This is as soon as the current season - North Star - is due to end.
UPDATE: The Test Server now reflects Crystal Guard content which would suggest the full release of Y6S3 is scheduled for September 7th, or later. We do not have confirmation of this yet.

Crystal Guard is going to introduce Osa, the newest Rainbow Six Siege Operator, and map changes to Bank, Coastline, and Clubhouse alongside the Operator Changes discussed above.
