Need for Speed is a rite of passage for all young petrolhead gamers, with more than five million avid fans of all things four-wheeled purchasing the original Hot Pursuit in 2010.
Many claim it was the partnership with Criterion Games, the studio that brought us the Burnout series, that made the game so successful, with Hot Pursuit receiving rave reviews.
Now the game is getting a Remastered release!

Speculation started after the above tweet appeared, a Nissan 350z with the number plate ‘510’… A potential hint to today’s date, 5 October? It was indeed.

The official Need for Speed website and YouTube channels both feature a similar countdown, with a video titled ‘Need for Speed – 510’ set to go live at 4pm BST today.
Release date announced
Along with the trailer, we got a release date!
NFS: Hot Pursuit will land on 6 November for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
It will land on Nintendo Switch on 13 November.

It checks in at £34.99, a very nice price point.

The game will be available to play on next-gen consoles too.
New look, new content
The official listings detail enhanced visuals, as you would expect in a Remastered title.
Fans will also be able to enjoy Crossplay! That means you can race against your friends no matter what platform they are on.

All DLC content from the original game is included at launch, and there is the promise of six hours of extra added content along with 30 more challenges.
