Konami's eFootball has finally made the transition from the 2022 version to eFootball 2023.
The developers have wasted no time in announcing a brand new card category that will arrive in eFootball 2023, with three Inter Milan legends honoured with the first ever selections.
Find out the latest on the new 'Epic' card type below.
Epic card category
The official eFootball Twitter account has revealed that a brand new card category will be coming to the game: Epic.
As far as we understand, Epic cards will be legendary players who have the potential for growth on top of their original rating.
The first three Epic cards have been handed to midfield legends, Wesley Sneijder (OVR 83), Dennis Bergkamp (OVR 82) and Lothar Matthaus (OVR 83).
The number shown on each card represents the overall rating of that player at Level 1.
Please note, that if it is a player type that cannot be developed, it is the overall rating at the time of signing.
The overall rating can be affected by various factors, including the Team Playstyle Level and whether the player is placed in a position in which he is proficient.

Two former partners of Konami will return in eFootball 2023, with AC Milan and Inter Milan, the current holders of Italy’s top domestic league competition and cup competition respectively.
This will see the introduction to the clubs’ players, official kits, badges and the stadium that they share, the San Siro.
In an exclusive agreement, Liga BBVA MX will be implemented in the new season, bringing all 18 Mexican clubs to eFootball 2023.
Two new eFootball Player Ambassadors have also joined the roster, with Liverpool sensation Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester United midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes signing on.
