Overwatch 2 will release with some brand new maps from places all around the world.
For Blizzard fans, the older maps may have felt a little too familiar with their cycles.
However, this feeling is set to decrease as the game will come with a range of new maps.
Additionally, there will also be new heroes along with new mechanics added to the game.

Older maps
When the sequel arrives on Battle.net, there will be 22 maps available for heroes to play on.
Another map has also been scheduled for release in December 2022.
As with most MMO games, there will be regular updates so new maps will continually be added to the game.

There are also some new maps being brought to the game.
These have been confirmed by Blizzard themselves, so we know to look out for any updates from the developer team.

New map details
The new maps for the game have also had some extra details about the playstyles.
Toronto and Rome are supposedly being used to play Push, the new game mode which will launch with the sequel.
New York City and Rio de Janeiro have also been confirmed as hybrid maps. They will start as an assault map which will then turn into an escort map.
