We've received a deep dive of NHL 23 HUT from EA and it's showcasing everything that has to do with Hockey Ultimate Team.
From Team Building to Power Up Icons to reward tiers in HUT Rivals, we're going to take a look at everything that was revealed today.
NHL 23 HUT Deep Dive Video
Before we get into any of the specifics, we're going to put the video for you below, this way you can check out all of the news yourself.
Keep an ear out for the first NHL 23 HUT Event of the year, HUT Spotlight, which will be available for you to play immediately at launch.
Right at the start of the video you'll hear the announcement that this is the final Deep Dive of the year for the game. This means between now and the release date, there won't be any more deep dives.

NHL 23 HUT Rivals Changes
The video kicks off with letting us know about the changes to NHL 23 HUT Rivals and we can say that we're happy to see them.
A new tiered rewards system will award players more accurately for wins in HUT Rivals. Rewards can now be earned by wins or win streaks.
Players will have the chance to earn instantaneous rewards and weekly rewards, giving you a reason to actually play HUT Rivals. It also has win-based rewards where you can see exactly what you'll receive for your wins.
There are also 10 different HUT Rivals modes that you can play:
- HUT Rivals 3v3
- HUT Rivals Burst
- HUT Rivals International
- HUT Rivals Sim
- HUT Rivals Burst 3v3
- HUT Rivals International 3v3
- HUT Rivals Classic 3V3
- HUT Rivals Arcade
- HUT Rivals Burst Arcade
- HUT Rivals International Sim
This gives players several options of NHL 23 HUT action so they won't get bored in Hockey Ultimate Team.
Matchmaking Changes in HUT
Matchmaking also seems to be a main focus in NHL 23 HUT this year as the EA team took time to make it more balanced.
This is great news as several players have complained in recent months about the matchmaking but we won't know how well-balanced it is until launch.
Now you'll have more control over who you'll face in NHL 23 HUT and Cross-Platform Matchmaking is supposed to help with this as well.
Hopefully, we'll learn more about Matchmaking once we get a chance to play the game.
