No Contracts in NBA 2K23
The elimination of Contracts is huge for players this year. This allows you to continue to use the best cards in your lineup without worrying about the games they have remaining.
This also means that there will be different rewards in NBA 2K23 MyTEAM. Last year, Diamond Contracts were a significant reward.
This also means that with contracts removed, you can restart most Single Player games in MyTEAM. Domination, all Challenge games, and even Triple Threat will now have an option to quickly restart the game.
This is huge as you used to lose contracts for each player in the lineup. The removal of contracts could be the best thing for NBA 2K23 MyTEAM.
New Game Modes - Triple Threat & Clutch Time
Two of the top game modes last year were Triple Threat and Clutch Time. In NBA 2K23 MyTEAM, this will also be the case.
Triple Threat Online will allow you to team up with your friends in Triple Threat Online Co-Op. You can also create 3v3 parties for bragging rights.
A single player option has been added to Clutch Time which you can use as practice for the online action in NBA 2K23 MyTEAM.
The goal remains the same, win ten games without losing three in a row to earn the rewards available. This was a favorite mode amongst NBA 2K22 players and now you can play it in single player.
New Rewards available in Season 1
One of the first things that NBA 2K23 MyTEAM will kick off with is choosing your Starter Cards, this time you'll actually get to play with these cards.
Featuring Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, and Ja Morant, these are cards that you can choose from right from the start of Season 1.
Along with these rewards come your first Agenda in Season 1 of NBA 2K23 MyTEAM. By playing 10 games in any MyTEAM mode you'll earn a 90 OVR Amethyst Fred Jones.
There are also Prize Balls to earn, giving you a little bit of style on the court.
