For most players, it's all about being comfortable but for others, the shot meter gets in their way so they turn it off.
We wouldn't recommend turning off the NBA 2K23 shot meter, especially if you're just starting the game but here's how to change it.
- Open the NBA 2K23 Main Menu
- Toggle over to MyPlayer
- Select the Animations tab
- Go to Gameplay Effects and change the Jumpshot Meter.

Jumpshot Meters in NBA 2K23
There are several NBA 2K23 jumpshot meters to choose from this year, in total there are 20, all of which can be unlocked.
At launch, there were five meters to choose from, which we have an image for you below. Perhaps one of them will be the one you use this year.
There are 15 other unlockable settings that you can equip as your NBA 2K23 shot meter. Personally, we enjoy using the default one but hopefully, you'll find the one that works best for you.
