The next MLB The Show 22 roster update isn't that far off, but players will have to wait a bit longer than usual this time.
We've got details on when the next MLB The Show 22 roster update is scheduled and why they're doing things differently.
MLB The Show 22 Roster Update delayed ahead of All-Star Game
The last MLB The Show 22 Roster Update to make major ratings changes fell back on June 24, and in it we saw the legend Mike Trout return to the top of Diamond Dynasty.
With that drop, most fans are expecting the biweekly attribute changes to keep things rolling with a new update on Friday, July 8, 2022, but that won't be happening.
Instead, the July 8 MLB The Show 22 Roster Update will be another minimal transactions based set of changes with new players, position moves, and a few minor attribute adjustments.
The news was quietly confirmed by Sony San Diego when announcing the Sizzling Summer featured program for Diamond Dynasty.
"The next Roster Update (July 8) will focus on Transactions once again. The next Roster Update with player attribute adjustments is scheduled for July 15 ahead of the All-Star break."

While it is a delay, it's one that comes with reassurance of when things will get back to normal as the next set of ratings changes are now confirmed for Friday, July 15, 2022.
That means players still have just over a week to continue making investments for players they think will see a ratings boost ahead of the All-Star break.
All-Star Game will bring tons of new content to Diamond Dynasty
While we know that the MLB The Show 22 roster update will provide one piece of content on July 15, there is plenty more on the way just days later.
Like they did last year, Sony San Diego is once again looking to introduce Diamond Dynasty content the same night as the Home Run Derby and MLB All-Star Game.
The upcoming releases were confirmed by the in-game MLB The Show 22 schedule and via a recent content stream, and there's plenty to expect.
Sizzling Summer will wrap up as a new featured program starring the 2022 All-Stars arrives on Monday, July 18, 2022.
If you want to help influence which players may get cards in that program, voting is still underway for the 2022 MLB All-Star Ballot.
