We've been furiously playing MLB The Show 22 and one of the biggest questions we've seen players have is about pitching.

Let's take a look at the controls, best pitches, and different interfaces available.

MLB The Show 22 Pitching Guide

Becoming a good pitcher in MLB The Show 22 has to do with a few things. One, the pitcher you're operating. Whether it's your own Ballplayer or a player from the roster, learning the pitches are important.

The other area of importance is deciding which interface you want to use. There's the Pulse Interface, which is (in our opinion) significantly easier to use. Then there's the Analog interface, which we consider to be much harder.

READ THE BATTER: Knowing a batters tendencies will definitely help

As you spend more time pitching you'll learn to start noticing the placement and timing of the ball to throw the best pitches.

Here are the areas of the batter's box you'll want to target:

  • Up and Away
  • Up and Center
  • Up and In
  • Low and Away (slightly outside the box)
  • Low and Inside

Now, let's take a look at the controls for PlayStation and Xbox.

Pitching Controls for PS4/PS5

Knowing the MLB The Show 22 pitching controls is just as important as knowing the best pitches to throw in the game.

Players love the curveball, but the pitcher you're using might be a better fit to throw the four-seam fastball. Knowing this will be important as you progress as a pitcher.
