Deathloop is the latest game from Arkane and the next big timed-exclusive for PlayStation. For this reason, you may be wondering "Will Deathloop Be One PS4?" If this is the case, we may have some bad news for you.

Being a big release, there's lots of speculation about it, from its multiplayer aspects all the way to if it even is exclusive. Here's what you need to know about its presence on PS4 when it comes out later this year.

Release Date

Before starting, it's important to clarify a few things about the game. The first is when it actually releases. After a few delays and tonnes of speculation, we can finally expect to see the game release on September 14th this year.

Technically, there's still a chance it could get delayed again but that seems unlikely at this point. If all goes well, we can expect to see it in a few short months.

Will Deathloop Be On PS4?

As of right now, Deathloop is planned for release on PS5 and PC only. Xbox and last-gen consoles appear to have been left behind.

There's a chance it will come to PS4 and Xbox one in the future but, with the poor release of games like Cyberpunk 2077, this may never happen.

Why It Likely Won't Come To PS4

Deathloop seems to be a rather demanding game to run, due to all the hidden systems and mechanics going on around the player. As it runs in multiplayer, practically the whole map has to run at the same time and operate as intended. There's a chance that something as simple as the fast-running SSD in both the Series X and PS5 is holding it back from the last generation.

Alternatively, it could just be the hardware as many are expecting. Maybe, upon doing preliminary tests, the experience was too poor to justify a port.
