Total War: Warhammer 3 preorders are available now, following Creative Assembly's announcement last week.
The third instalment in the Total War: Warhammer series promises to continue the epic narrative woven amongst the stellar strategy gameplay developed by CA for their series.
Total War: Three Kingdoms is currently the fastest-selling Total War game ever, thanks to its' popularity in China. Now, it seems as if Total War: Warhammer 3 is going to follow in those footsteps.
Preorder Popularity
Like any new announcement, Warhammer 3 sat comfortably as the Top Seller on Steam for a short period after the trailer's release.
However, this quickly dropped as everyone expected and made way for the new "hit" game Valheim.
Well... This is true for almost everywhere except China. For now, Total War: Warhammer 3 remains the Top Seller on Steam in China.
Given the explosive popularity, locally of Tale of Immortal, a game that is out in some capacity, Warhammer 3's success so far is surprising.
Warhammer 3 Announcement
Last week, Creative Assembly dropped a cinematic announcement trailer for their hotly-anticipated sequel to Total War: Warhammer 2.
It promises a "cataclysmic conclusion" to the sub-series and it's hard to argue that that won't be the case when you see what's in store.

The Demons of Chaos also make an appearance alongside Khorne's daemon forces to make for an exciting match-up that promises the best Warhammer strategy game yet!
Steam China
Despite suggestions that both Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Operations were going to be the champion titles for Steam's new localised application, could Warhammer 3's popularity signpost a better future for Steam China than anticipated?
Steam China, despite it being an earnest-enough attempt by Valve to secure their Chinese audience and adhere to the government legislation, is drawing fire from a few sources.

However, could Warhammer 3's foreshadowed success help to cement Steam China's position in the region?
There are suggestions that the global marketplace will still be available via a VPN application, however, this might not be necessary if Steam can make sure Total War: Warhammer 3 launches in the region given the popularity being sign-posted by the preorder numbers.
Steam China is launching in Open Beta but is expected to replace the global Steam application in the region soon.
Total War: Warhammer 3 is due to launch late 2021 on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
