Subnautica, the brutal survival game with surprising depth, has finally unveiled the release date for its Below Zero follow up.
With that comes plenty of speculation and, of course, ravenous fans just waiting to be let in. If you're one of these fans, here's when you can play it for yourself.
Release Times
The game itself is set to release on Friday, May 14 but the release times are a little more complex, with each platform having its own times.
As it has been in Early Access for some time on PC, you can pick it up right now and play it without any wait. For those without a PC or looking to play it from the comfort of a console, here's when you can play it.
Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S or PS4/PS5
These have the same established release time and tend to arrive on time consistently. It's all dependant on where you live. The aim of the timer is to allow you to play it at midnight on May 14.
Xbox has been very consistent with this, where PS4 has occasionally had players wait till a little past midnight. Either way, if it doesn't unlock at Midnight in your local time, give it a few minutes and it should pop up.
Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch is the least consistent of all the consoles and is partially down to the whims of the publisher.
While the official site suggests digital-only software is available at 9 AM Pacific Time (5 PM BST), it also states that physical software might open at a different time and some third-party titles won't be available until 12 PM PT (9 PM BST).
Whilst the release time is pretty consistent for Xbox and PlayStation, it's likely not worth staying up for the midnight release on Switch.
