Hitman 3 Day 1 Patch: Included Content, Release Time, Pre-Load, Size, Next Gen Upgrade and more

Hitman 3 launches this week and will see the conclusion of the World of Assassination trilogy, which began with 2016's Hitman.

The game will be getting a day one patch, here is everything you need to know.

Day 1 Patch

IO interactive have confirmed that Hitman 3 will be getting day 1 patch, which will add many pieces of content to the game, including the levels that aren't included in the base game installation.

"HITMAN 3 will require a day one patch for all disc users. The day one patch will be automatically applied to digital players. This patch will include access to the VR mode for PlayStation users and will include the remaining locations that are not included on the disc."

Release Time

Hitman 3 will release on Wednesday January 20th on PC via Epic Games Store, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch via cloud gaming.

VR: Hitman 3 will feature VR compatibility for PlayStation and PC players.

Pre-Load

Players on PlayStation or Xbox platforms will be able to pre-load the game, ready to start playing as soon as it hits unlock time.

PC Players won't be able to pre-load, and instead will have to begin downloading the game once it unlocks at 8am EST/1pm GMT.

Game Size

IO Interactive have confirmed that Hitman 3 is approximately 60-70GB in size.

ALL IN ONE: Hitman 3 will allow players to import Hitman 1 and 2 levels into the game.

Next Gen Upgrade

Players that purchase either the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game will be able to upgrade to the next gen version for free.

This applies to both the physical and digital versions of the game.

To access the upgrade simply insert the disk into the next gen console, or play the digital version on a next gen system, and the new upgrade will install.

Players that purchase the physical version and then a diskless next gen system, such as the Xbox Series S, won't be able to upgrade.
