Dying Light 2 is one of the most anticipated titles releasing this year and will be available very soon! While the first game had its issues, it also managed to make a huge comeback with tonnes of community support and a great stream of post-release DLC.

The team have learned from this and tried to bring all of what fans are looking for. If you can't wait to play it for yourself, this is what you should know before launch.

Dying Light 2 Release Date

Dying Light 2 finally launches this Friday, on February 4. This comes after years of trailers, announcements and delays. Last year, they revealed the team revealed they needed just a little bit more time with the game to fully solidify what it is and to nail what they're going for.

One can only hope this extra time in the oven pays off with good sales and an active community.

The first Dying Light game had tonnes of post launch support and the devs have promised the same for Dying Light 2. This is shaping up to be the game they've wanted to make but post launch DLC should make it even better.

Dying Light 2 Release time

The social media team put up a nice piece showing the exact time you can play the game in your timezone. They are:

  • 12 am GMT February 4th
  • 4 pm PST February 3rd
  • 6 pm CST February 3rd
  • 7 pm EST February 3rd

As this is set to be a huge launch, there's a chance the launch window could mess up a little by going up early or late. If you can't get in and you've signed in at the right time, give it a few minutes and it should sort itself out.

If it doesn't work after ten minutes, give it an hour or so to boot it up again. Make sure to quit the game if it boots up but won't run just yet.

What should you preorder?

There are tonnes of ways to play the game and the site walks you through it quite nicely. This is what you need to know about its preorder options.

The Standard Edition comes with the game by itself and can be played at the same time as everything else.
