Dying Light 2 is finally out for everyone and it's as action packed as you might expect. If you've taken one too many hits from the Renegades or zombies, you may need a little bit of help. Here's how to heal in Dying Light 2 and get more medicine to escape a tight spot.
How to Heal in Dying Light 2
It is pretty easy replenish your health in Dying Light 2, but you need the right resources and need to know how the inventory system works. Essentially, you can use the D-pad to cycle through weapons, items and more at the bottom left of the screen. The top section is dedicated to consumables that can replenish your immunity or your health.
To heal, just cycle to a healing item using up on the d-pad and hold down A on Xbox or X on PlayStation to use it. Every item has a time it takes to use so make sure you know what you're using in advance. You can speed that time up with gear upgrades, though.
As well as this, some safe zones have water supplies that can heal you and sleeping in beds can restore your health. You are better off not relying on these too much though.
Getting medicine and healing items
There are two central ways of getting healing items, looting and crafting. Throughout the world, you can find them on dead bodies or in lootable containers.
Outside of this, a fairly robust crafting system allows you to make your own with the right ingredients. You can get crafting materials in containers and on bodies so looting will help, regardless of which way you like to heal.
Finally, although it's not quite as good as the central two, you can get healing items by buying them. With how easy it is to find them, there's not really much of a point in doing this but it can helpful in a pinch.
How to lose less health
Besides just getting better and more agile when it comes to movement, armour and upgrades can help you retain your health. Using your inhibitors for health will leave you fighting much longer. This being said, don't focus exclusively on your health. A good balance is needed for the best build.
