Can You Play Chivalry 2 in Single-Player?

Chivalry 2 is shaping up to be gory good fun, and its much-publicized large-scale melee combat has been the highlight of recent trailers.

From what we have seen so far, its easy-to-pick-up, difficult-to-master combat system, combined with its varied class system, means this game is likely going to consume the lives of multiplayer gamers.

But what about players who prefer to play alone, does Chivalry 2 offer something for those who shy away from such brutal competition, or just prefer a more relaxing rate of play?

Can you Play Chivalry 2 in Single Player?

Outside of a specific offline training mode, there is no single-player mode in Chivalry 2.

This is a multiplayer game, first and foremost, and even the training mode included is designed specifically to get you online and playing with others as quickly as possible.

In Chivalry 2, there are three multiplayer game modes that can be played across the eight maps that the game will launch with. They are:

  • Team Objective (Progress through levels capturing and defending objectives)
  • Team Deathmatch (Fight alongside your teammates against the enemy)
  • Free-For-All (Everyone for themselves in an all-out massacre)

The maps, and the game modes that they allow, are as follows.

  • Free-For-All (Everyone for themselves in an all-out massacre)
  • The Slaughter of Coxwell – Team Objective.
  • The Fall of Lionspire – Team Objective.
  • The Siege of Rudhelm – Team Objective.
  • The Battle of Dark Forest – Team Objective.
  • Escape from Falmire – Team Objective.
  • Tournament Grounds – Team Deathmatch & Free-for-all.
  • The Battle of Wardenglade – Team Deathmatch & Free-for-all.
  • The Fighting Pit – Team Deathmatch & Free-for-all

Chivalry 2 launched worldwide on Tuesday, June 8th 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
