We haven't received much news surrounding Madden 23 The Yard yet, but we know a few bits about the game mode so far.

With the closed beta being released for the game, we can now take a deeper look at some of the current bugs. Along with that, we'll look at the release date.

The good news for fans of the game mode is that Madden 23 The Yard has been confirmed for this year.

However, we haven't learned much about how the game mode will affect players or any changes. The good news is we might learn more about it via a Madden 23 The Yard trailer.

During the closed beta, players could potentially get to play the game mode. We'll go over more on the beta and some of the upcoming game modes below.

Along with the game modes that will be available, we'll also take a look at some of the bugs the game is experiencing.

Madden 23 Release Date

The next edition of Madden will release on August 19, 2022, which is in line with former editions. Early access is available through the All Madden Edition.

Those aren't the only rewards that you'll receive with a pre order of Madden 23. However, early access is only available through that special edition.

GETTING STARTED: Hit the gridiron on Friday, August 19

The pre order rewards have been revealed along with the price of the game as well. The Standard Edition will cost you $59.99 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. On next gen systems you'll be paying $69.99 for Madden 23.

Here are the pre order rewards for each edition which include some rewards for Madden 23 The Yard:

  • Choice of 2 Elite Players (1 Offensive & 1 Defensive) in Madden 23 Ultimate Team

  • 3-Day Early Access starting August 16, 2022
  • 4600 Madden Points to use in Madden 23 Ultimate Team

    • Players who pre order the Madden 23 All Madden Edition by July 22, 2022 will receive an added bonus of an All-Madden Team Elite Player for their Madden Ultimate Team roster. The All-Madden Team is a premium Ultimate Team program that celebrates Coach Madden’s hand-picked teams and builds upon them with new and exciting players. Players will be able to choose 1 of 4 87 OVR players to add to their Ultimate Team. Each player will have a premium ability that will enhance their in-game performance.

Closed Beta Details for Madden 23

Only select players were given the opportunity to play the closed beta. The good news is that although it's closed we should have more Madden 23 The Yard information.

It will be included in the game modes and was confirmed via the Gridiron Notes that were released a few days ago.

With players now experiencing the beta, EA also released a list of bugs that have popped up. We'll go over a few of those below.

These are the current things that EA is working on in Madden 23:

  • Mid-Air collisions at the catch point not triggering frequently enough
  • Man Coverage defenders frequently play fakeout animations when covering Curl and Comeback routes
  • HB Slip Screen does not work appropriately due to the RB delay being too long
  • Aggressive catch mechanic doesn’t respect player-input in some specific situations
  • Player ratings impact to Skill Based Passing is not final
