Madden 22 Relocation: How to relocate a team in Franchise Mode
The very first thing you need to be sure of is that your Franchise Mode save was started with you in the role of Owner in order to use Madden 22 relocation.
Unfortunately, any other role will not allow you to relocate, and if you've already started a Franchise Mode save with another role, you'll have to start a new one to relocate.
When choosing which team to relocate, the most important factor is whether you want to use the traditional relocation method or use League Settings to force relocation as an option.
If you are using the normal League Settings with Relocation set to "Normal," you will only be able to relocate when your Stadium has reached a rating below 20, and most NFL stadiums are well above that, which can get in the way of Madden 22 relocation.
If you attempt to relocate with a team that has a good stadium, you'll have to sim forward upwards of a decade or more before the stadium has deteriorated enough to allow Madden 22 relocation.
However, the Tennessee Titans are primed for Madden 22 relocation, as their stadium begins the game with a mere rating of 10, allowing you to begin relocation immediately.
If you want to use any other team to relocate, you need to make sure you set Relocation in League Settings to "Users Only" or "Everyone (Can Relocate)" in order to make the move without needing the deteriorating stadium.
This will allow you to choose any existing NFL team as your starting point and get the Madden 22 relocation process going.
How long does relocation take?
It's important to keep in mind that relocation is a lengthy process in Franchise Mode, and you won't get to become your new team in a new location until the following season.
You can trigger Madden 22 relocation as soon as your Franchise begins, but you won't be prompted to choose a location until week four or week five of the regular season.
It's up to you whether you want to meticulously play through the first season to ensure success heading into the move, but you can also just sim forward through the season.
Make sure to only move forward one week at a time, as you'll be prompted on different weeks to then choose a new team name and logo, new uniforms, and make choices about your new stadium.
When the dust settles, you'll be able to begin the second season with your fully relocated team in place for Franchise Mode.
How do you know which location to choose?
You'll have several different cities to pick from when deciding what location is right for your relocated team in Franchise, and there are three key factors that will most influence things moving forward.
Each location has a rating for Fan Interest, Market Size, and Personality, all of which will affect how your Franchise could succeed or struggle after Madden 22 relocation is complete.
Choosing somewhere with the best Market Size and Fan Interest will make things easier on you financially following the move, but areas with less of each may need more success to truly thrive.
It's not fully clear how much impact Personality plays in your Franchise, but it references the nature of the fanbase if you choose to move there with your Madden 22 relocation.
Ultimately, you really wanna pick the location that interests you, as the journey will be more fun with a new team you like.
All Cities & Team Names
If you're trying to decide where to go, getting a full picture of your options can be crucial before you start Madden 22 relocation.
First, it's important to point out that you can choose to keep your original team name, uniforms, and logo when relocating to any location, but the Fan Interest is often low for keeping the existing branding.
Here, we'll list each location with its details, the teams you have to choose from, and the logos that come with each team.
In addition to a level of Fan Interest that is specific to the prospect of each location, there is different also a separate Fan Interest rating for each team name.
As a note, there are two locations (St. Louis and Oakland) which don't let you change your uniforms, logo, or team name, and instead will keep your current team and only shift the location name.
It's very likely that, as the St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders both moved very recently, these choices were made so players can take those teams and move them back to their former home without having to change names, and in a way that prevents two Rams or Raiders teams from existing in the same league.
We've also included a quoted blurb for each location, these are shown in-game when hovering over each potential city.

Choosing your Stadium for Madden 22 relocation
The final step in your Madden 22 relocation process is choosing a new stadium, and the options will be the same regardless of which location or team you've picked.
The following ten Madden 22 relocation stadiums are available:
- Basic Canopy Stadium
- Basic Futuristic Stadium
- Basic Hybrid Stadium
- Basic Sphere Stadium
- Basic Traditional Stadium
- Deluxe Canopy Stadium
- Deluxe Futuristic Stadium
- Deluxe Hybrid Stadium
- Deluxe Sphere Stadium
- Deluxe Traditional Stadium
Choosing a stadium ultimately comes down to your own personal preference and exactly how fiscally responsible you want to be with the decision.
The latter will vary depending on whether you're choosing to run Franchise Mode with a salary cap or not and how much starting money you've got based on which type of Owner you decided to be.
Make sure to look closest at the Weekly Cost figure, rather than total Build Cost, which will indicate how much it'll actually affect your regular financial operations in Franchise Mode.
