EA Sports College Football 24 is expected to be the first game in a renewed annual reboot of the NCAA gaming series, and we've finally got official news.
Here's everything we know so far about the expected release date and game modes for EA Sports College Football 24.
EA Sports College Football 24 gets two confirmed game modes
Longtime fans looking forward to the return of the former NCAA Football gaming franchise will need to continue to hunker down for the long haul, but there's at least good news on the horizon.
In a new interview with ESPN, EA Vice President & GM Daryl Holt revealed two classic game modes are confirmed to return in the EA Sports College Football debut.
Dynasty Mode, the full-team Franchise Mode equivalent previously seen in the NCAA Football series, will be back in EA Sports College Football.
On top of that, in what may be an even more exciting detail for some fans, Road to Glory will return as the single-player Career Mode experience.

Holt stressed that development is still ongoing and much is still to be determined, but also said "the plan and intent" is to include real college football players.
Additional details like having real coaches in the game, Madden integration for imported draft classes, and other aspects were not shot down but remain unconfirmed.
It was also heavily stressed that the EA Sports College Football series will not be a "Madden clone" despite using the same engine, and apparently there's even internal competition between the development teams working on these separate projects.
NCAA Football reboot release date delayed another year
Perhaps the news that will be most frustrating to many fans is that EA Sports College Football 24 is now targeted for a launch one year later than initially anticipated.
Early reporting by Matt Brown of Extra Points detailed documents which hinted at EA Sports College Football 24 arriving as early as July 1, 2023.
However, that may have been a bit of optimism on those early contracts, and in actuality EA has now confirmed a targeted release in "the summer of 2024."
This pushes things back a full year, but it's actually extremely good news when it comes to the potential quality we'll see from this NCAA Football revival.
We've seen in recent years how valuable that extra development time can be, particularly in the case of WWE 2K22.
After the failure of WWE 2K20 and additional limitations of the global pandemic, 2K Sports cancelled WWE 2K21 and later delayed the WWE 2K22 launch an extra six months due to pressure from developers looking to ensure a quality release.
The delay here for what may end up being dubbed EA Sports College Football 25 gives developers significantly more time to aim for a quality launch with the best game modes possible.
