League of Legends has a ton of ways to show off in-game, your rank of course but there are now challenges, Eternals, and much more. Season 13 is now here, and a new competitive year is well underway, so there's no better time to head onto the rift.
Honour level is very easy to obtain, and can earn you some nice little loot extras to pad out your collection. Here's how to improve yours straight away, so you can start earning.
*UPDATED* Honours Rewards Update
Rewards for good honours and behaviour have now been upgraded by Riot Games.
A brand new skinline has been put into the game to help players behave their best.

What is the Honor Level System in League of Legends?
The Honor Level System is a way for League players to get incentivized to be on their most positive behaviour.
At the end of each match, players can choose a teammate to "honour" via three categories...
- Great Shotcalling
- Stayed Cool
- GG<3
These categories are defined as follows according to the in-game client:
Stayed Cool
Tilt-proof, chill.
Stayed cool is the Honor meant for a teammate who stayed calm and was a provider of a positive playing experience.
Great Shotcalling
Leadership, strategy.
Great Shotcalling is the Honor meant for a teammate who had good leadership and was able to lead your team to a triumphant win or a gracious defeat.
GG <3
Team player, friendly. GG <3 is the Honor meant for a teammate who was Honor worthy but didn't fit into a neat and tidy box of what they did to earn it?
This system, when participating in it often, gives players several types of rewards.
These include Mastery Chests, key fragments, a loading screen flair, an Honor recall, and more.
This is all, of course, if you remain to gain Honor Levels.

How to improve your Honor Level in League of Legends
The way to get Honor or improve it is fairly simple, all you have to do is play matchmade games and try to win while staying on your best behaviour.
This will, hopefully, prompt your teammates to give you Honors following your match.
Additionally, you can have premade teammates give you Honor post-match.
But, just like you can gain Honor levels you can drop them, and even though it's fairly unlikely it'll happen, it can still catch you by surprise.
You can drop Honor levels in three ways: Chat Restrictions, bans, or suspensions.
A Chat Restriction drops you down a level in Honor while bans or suspensions put you back down to 0.
Additionally, your Honor progress will be locked for some time after your penalty as long as you show signs of reform.
In short, behave well and go up in Honor Levels, behave poorly, and either it won't go up, or worse, it'll go down.
