GTA 6 is without a doubt one of the most highly anticipated games of all time, and it hasn't even officially been announced yet.
It looks like Rockstar Games are still set to release it at the time that's long been rumoured.
But, when is the release date for GTA 6?
Leaker Reports Release Date
It has been widely reported in recent months that GTA 6 is set to be released in late-2023.
We recently reported that Rockstar is set to hire games testers for their Rockstar North studio - the same one that handles the development of GTA games.
This could indicate the Rockstar are far through the development of the game and are set to reveal it soon, although soon could still mean it's many months away.
Based on previous games, Rockstar tends to follow a pattern of revealing a game two years before it is released.
Prominent leaker ViewerAnon recently tweeted to confirm the 2023 release window saying,
"Companies test games for *years*.
(And last year Rockstar internally had GTA VI set for a late 2023 release)"
GTA V was officially revealed in late 2011 before being released in 2013, and Red Dead Redemption 2 was revealed in 2016 before launching in 2018, this means we will likely see a similar pattern with GTA 6.
There have also been plenty of other rumours in recent months surrounding the game.
It has been said that the game will be set in Vice City and we have even seen a potential map for the game.
While many fans dismissed it as false, the Red Dead Redemption 2 map was leaked two years before the game's official release and it ended up being the correct map for the game.
So it does make you wonder how many leaks and rumours are entirely accurate but have been dismissed by fans.
Anyway, hopefully we'll hear official news on GTA 6 sometime soon.
