There has still been no official confirmation of Grand Theft Auto 6's existence, but we can make an educated guess that it is in development.
Further signs may point to the existence of GTA 6 as a new Rockstar Games job listing has been released.
Rockstar Job Possibly Listing Hints At GTA 6
The latest entry in the series, GTA V, released way back in 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, before being ported to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and it will soon be ported over to the next-gen systems, arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
A new job listing has been posted by Rockstar Games, which could point towards GTA 6.
The new listing is for game testers, giving players hope that GTA 6 may be far along through development.
First reported by The National, the job listing is for Rockstar North, the studio based in Edinburgh, which is home to the development of the GTA series.
The salary is listed as £23,000 per year and Rockstar are looking for "talented Game Testers who are passionate, enthusiastic, and self-motivated".
According to the listing, the successful candidates will be:
- Ensuring product quality of Rockstar releases to an industry leading standard
- Creating and actioning comprehensive test plans ensuring everything is functioning correctly
- Writing concise bug reports and providing all relevant supporting information such as screenshots, videos, and game logs
Rockstar North, previously DMA Designs, has handled development for the majority of GTA titles, excluding the two latest games and GTA Advance.
The last game the studio released was GTA V in 2013 and have since been working on GTA Online.
With no other game officially in development at Rockstar North, aside from continued updates to GTA Online, it does seem very possible that this listing is to test GTA 6.
Therefore, if you're a competent gamer who lives in Edinburgh or would have no issue relocating, this could be the job opportunity for you.
