Another day, another GTA 6 rumour. This time, another map leak has happened over on 4chan.

I'm sure I just heard the sound of thousands of people scoff as they read those words, don't worry we did too.

But, based on previous map leaks and looking back at the history of recent Rockstar titles, there is a chance this could be legitimate, even if that chance is small.

As always, take any leak for a game with a grain of salt, until we get official confirmation by Rockstar Games we can't confirm or disprove that this leak is real.

Map Leaked On 4chan

As first reported by Comicbook, a new map has been leaked on 4chan by an anonymous user.

In total there have been four map "leaks" posted to 4chan, while they all look different on the surface, which could make someone dismiss them, looking closer they all appear to be the same map.

This map shows what appears to be an island similar to Florida, which is home to Miami and where Vice City is based on.

Vice City is also the rumoured setting for the next GTA title.

Looking on Google Maps, this looks to be very similar to Homestead and the Everglades in the southern part of the State.

Miami is slightly further up from where this map shows if it is based on Florida, but that map leak also exists.

This part looks similar to Miami, except the island once you pass the north side of Miami, but it does look strikingly similar, and it is clear to see where the two maps would connect to each other in the images.

The first leaked map looks like both of the above images put together, along with two smaller islands, which could make sense and they all line up together.

One problem with 4chan is, anyone can post anything and it is extremely difficult for it to be traced back, as well as being disproved.

We have seen many rumours for games over the years, with most turning out to be fake, but the odd one does turn out to be legitimate.

The map for Red Dead Redemption 2 was leaked in 2016 and was initially claimed to be fake by the community, but that leak turned out to be true.

Could we be seeing history repeat itself? Especially as the rumoured release date for GTA 6 is 2023, and that would put us at two years before the release of the game.

Once again, take these leaks with a grain of salt, we are not saying they are real or not real, but if other rumours are correct then it would line up perfectly with them.

Or, someone has too much time on their hands and needs to find a better hobby than posting fake leaks, either/or.
