What is Starconch?
Starconches are a Liyue Specialty. Empty seashells that are brought ashore by the tides.
Travelers can find them on the oceanic beaches of the Geo Nation.
Starconch Locations
There are several locations where players can find Starconch. The most accessible, as seen on the map below, is a large cluster located on the shores of Yaoguang Shoal.
Another region to collect Starconch is Guyun Stone Forest, the islands created from the Spears thrown by Rex Lapis during the Archon War.
However, Guyun Stone Forest requires some island hopping and defeating many enemies, making for a slower farm.
Starconch is relatively simple to collect, as many materials in Genshin Impact. Players need to position near them and a collecting window will appear.
However, they are not very visible on the ground level. So, make sure to explore the whole beach.
There are 71 Starconch in the wild, respawning every 48 hrs. There are 41 along Yaoguang Shoal and 24 in the Guyun Stone Forest area.

Starconch Uses
Starconch is an ascension material used to level up characters.
Currently, there are only two Hydro characters that require them.
- Childe Tartaglia, a 5-star Hydro Bow User.
- Yelan, a 5-star Hydro Bow User
Each character needs 168 Starconches to reach 90, the max level.
