Genshin Impact 2.7: Yelan beta gameplay shows off powerful team compositions

Recent videos of Yelan Gameplay from the Genshin Impact 2.7 Beta showcase the new Hydro Bow character in some very powerful team compositions.

The arrival of Yelan will most likely mark the return of several fan-favorite characters to meta. Unfortunately, these characters were losing ground against more efficient teams.

That may change however come Yelan's release, and using beta gameplay leaks, we'll break down where she might shake up the meta and what team compositions will let her shine the most come Genshin Impact 2.7.

Release Date

Before continuing talking about Yelan's best teams, let's check the debut date of the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.7 character.

Yelan's banner will be available for wishing on May 11, 2022, and it will be available for three weeks. The last chance to pull for Yelan's is May 31, 2022.

Yelan's Best Role

Before we get into how best to fit Yelan into the strongest teams in Genshin Impact, let's first go over her best role in the party.

Even though it is still too soon to determine Yelan's ideal builds, we can tell from Yelan's abilities that she will be a very powerful DMG dealer.

This means players can use Yelan as Sub-DPS or the main source of DMG from the team.

Best Teams for Yelan in Genshin Impact

Beta testers have shared Yelan gameplay in the quest to find her strongest team composition, and there are several contenders players can test themselves in time.

Rational

  • Main DPS: Xianling
  • Sub-DPS: Yelan
  • Elemental Enabler: Bennett
  • Support: Raiden Shogun.

Yelan subs Xingqiu in this very rapid swapping team, however, Yelan will have more time in the field but also a higher DMG Output in the end, improving this lineup massively.

Vape Teams

  • Main DPS: Hu Tao - Yoimiya
  • Sub-DPS: Yelan
  • Elemental Enabler: Kazuha
  • Support: Zhongli or Kokomi

There was a time when Vape teams use to rule the game, and Hu Tao was the best main DPS in Genshin Impact. But a lot of things have changed since then.

Now, Rational, Permafrost, and Electro Teaser comps run the game as the top teams. But Yelan may be ready to boost Hu Tao and Pyro's character back into the meta in Genshin Impact 2.7!

Yoimiya's Time to Shine

Yoimiya is not very popular among players, due to her single target output and her playstyle based on normal attacks.

Things may soon change however as Hoyoverse will soon buff ranged characters in the ver. 2.6 update, improving the aiming system so now Normal Attacks will hit moving targets more consistently.

This benefits Yoimiya who seems to have a great synergy with Yelan, with both characters sharing equal time in the field and vaporizing the opposition.
