Fortnite Season 8 isn't that far away now, with us being more than half way through Season 7. This week doesn't seem like a particularly busy one in terms of the number of events, but it is finally time for an update.
Below, we've got everything you need to know about what's happening in Fortnite this week, Season 7 Week 7, which includes some new challenges, the release of more Alien Artifacts, and the low-awaited release of 17.20.
Fortnite 17.20 Update Finally Out
While we initially expected it a couple of weeks ago, Fortnite's 17.20 update is finally expected to release this week, on July 20.
We're still not 100% sure what it will include, but some details have leaked. The main feature that's set to be added by the update is the ability to set preferred item slots in you inventory.
If you'd like, you'll be able to select Health / Shields in Slot 5 for example. Therefore, first item of that type you pick up will automatically be placed in this slot in each game. It should make it much easier to select items when playing quickly or getting in surprise fights.

Season 7 Week 7 Challenges
Looking forward to the Season 7 Week 7 challenges also shows us that the 17.20 update is due to arrive this week.
The weekly challenges always leaks ahead of time when a new update releases, and the Week 7 Epic and Legendary Quests aren't known yet.
We only knew up to week 6, so we're due to find out what the Week 7 challenges are once the new update releases.
