I say this all the time, but it's never too early to start looking toward what is next for Fortnite, and we thought that Season 5 was very steadily creeping up on the calendar. Epic then went and blew everyone's minds by stating that Chapter 3 is about to end!

LATEST - Chapter 4 Incoming!
We will NOT be getting Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 5 as it has now been confirmed that Chapter 4 is on the way instead! Following on from the Fracture event we will be heading into another new chapter after just one year!
Fortnite Season 5 Release Date
We're starting off with one relevant certainty, Fortnite Season 5 has a release date of Sunday, 4 December. This continues the current trend of new seasons finishing up on a Saturday night and starting the following day.
Downtime will take place and if it's anything in-line with other seasons, it could last upwards of 8 hours. A big contributing factor to this is whether or not there will be an end-of-season event.
If there is an event, which I certainly hope there will be, servers will go down a little earlier than usual and this will lead to longer downtime overall.
Fortnite Season 5 Leaks
Leaks are very thin on the ground so far for Season 5 with not even a single Battle Pass skin having been hinted at, but there is one assumption we can make given the time of year that this content arrives.
Winterfest should begin shortly after Fortnite Season 5 begins and we expect it to be just as huge as it was last year. Whether or not the cozy cabin returns remains to be seen but going straight from the start of a new season into a big event like Winterfest is great for fans over the holiday period.
