FIFA 23 has launched to much acclaim and everyone's favourite football game is set to get even better with the arrival of the World Cup DLC.
EA has now confirmed the full details for the DLC and we've got a breakdown of everything you need to know.
FIFA 23 World Cup DLC
In FIFA 23, fans will be able to play as any of the 32 qualified nations in an authentic recreation of the full FIFA World Cup 2022 from the opening match to the final game.
An Online Tournament Mode will arrive in the DLC, giving fans the chance to fight through the Knockout Stages as any of the qualified nations, aiming for glory against other players from around the world.
FIFA World Cup: Live, a curated EA SPORTS World Cup experience, will be introduced in the World Cup DLC.
Unlike anything seen before, this new experience will be updated during the Group and Knockout Stages of the tournament, allowing players to follow along with authentic fixtures and squads for each game.
Additionally, fans can take matters into their own hands to rewrite history by changing the outcome of any past game, giving them the spotlight.
Your FIFA World Cup will allow players to choose a nation, select a live starting point from past or current matchdays, and play an authentic single-player tournament.
Ultimate Team Improvements
Of course, the World Cup DLC will be celebrated across the game, and Ultimate Team will see its own lathers of love during this holiday season.
Brand new FUT campaigns will be released starting November 11 through December 23.
Authentic team kits, stadium dressings, visuals, match balls, dedicated commentary and more will arrive, with live card types also being introduced.
30 unique World Cup Heroes have also been confirmed, providing the biggest addition of card types we've ever seen.
As the knockout stages begin, EA will celebrate the most impactful moments in the World Cup so far, celebrating key moments from qualification.
Once the quarter-finals arrive, FIFA 23 players will be greeted by a new class of World Cup FUT Phenoms, highlighting the stars of the tournament.
At the end of the tournament, the best players will become members of the Team of the Tournament and will be awarded with permanently boosted items.
All of this excitement is officially confirmed to begin on November 9, with the Tournament Mode allowing players to earn rewards based on their tournament progress and chosen difficulty; these rewards will be useable in the live World Cup event, which will begin on November 17.
