Winter Wildcards Release Date
The Winter Wildcards promo started on Friday, 23 December, at the usual time of 2pm ET / 6pm GMT, taking over from the World Cup Team of the Tournament squad.
However, the celebrations kicked off slightly earlier, with the Winter Wildcards Swaps program beginning on Monday, 19 December at 2pm ET / 6pm GMT!
The event is running for two weeks, with Team 2 dropping on Friday, 30 December, before being replaced by the new FUT Centurions event.
Winter Wildcards
Winter Wildcards is a returning promo in Ultimate Team, first seen last year and keeping FUTmas away from the game.
It will follow the same format as previously and produce a load of mixed-up players.
As usual, the cards will gain massive boosts to their stats and ratings, but that's the only consistency you will find.
Some players could receive position changes, others an upgrade to their weak foot or skill moves, or even a change of their dominant foot altogether!
The new cards will of course be released into Packs, and come via SBCs and Objectives.
Swaps
In FUT 22 many promos also had an accompanying Swaps program - including Winter Wildcards - and it has come to the event again.
Much like Icon Swaps, you can earn Tokens as rewards from Objectives and SBCs - and additional ones via Packs in the FUT Store - then trade them in against corresponding SBCs for top rewards.
25 Swaps Tokens will be on offer as rewards, with bonus ones coming in Packs through the FUT Store.
You can find out more information on the Swaps campaign, including all the rewards, on our dedicated Winter Wildcards Swaps page.
