What are Squad Foundations?
Squad Foundations are a set of players all from the same league that help you build your Ultimate Team squad.
As they are all from the same league, they will give your side better chemistry, and the cards are boosted versions from their base too.
We expect Squad Foundations to follow the same format as in previous FIFA titles, with four players able to be unlocked via objectives, and an additional one coming as an SBC.
Squad Foundations Breakdown
There are four players that can be acquired through objectives, which are found in the Milestones section.
Start Date: Thursday, 13 October
Expiry Date: Saturday, 21 January
Squad Foundations: Liga Portugal
Complete four tasks to earn the group reward of Squad Foundations Nuno Santos.
Right Foot Forward
- Assist 10 goals using Forwards from Liga Portugal in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals)
Reward - 1 x Squad Foundations Joel Sonora
Fine Touch
- Score 7 goals with Finesse Shots using players from Liga Portugal in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals)
Reward - 1 x Gold Pack
Play 20
- Play 20 matches in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) having at least 7 players from Liga Portugal in your starting squad
Reward - 1 x Small Gold Players Pack
Winning Formula
- Win 8 matches by min. 2 goals in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) having at least 7 players from Liga Portugal in your starting squad
Reward - 1 x Squad Foundations Wilson Manafa

Complete five tasks to earn the group reward of Squad Foundations Abel Ruiz.

- Win 8 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece using a starting 11 or Liga Portugal players

Accompanying SBC
Additionally, a Liga NOS player has been released via SBC to help with squad building.
Unlike previous titles, where this was also a Squad Foundations version, the player is from the Road to the Knockouts promo, so can gain a couple of boosts.
