TOTY Release Date
Team of the Year cards will receive a staggered release, starting on Friday, 20 January at 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
The Attackers finalists were released first, with the Midfielders coming next, followed by the Defenders & Goalkeeper until the full TOTY XI became available in packs at the same time on Thursday, 26 January.
Selected TOTY Icons also entered packs on Friday, 20 January, coming across two releases, with six available initially, another six replacing them on Tuesday, 24 January (and two coming via SBCs), before all 12 were in packs on Sunday, 29 January.
Team of the Year
Team of the Year is an annual promo in Ultimate Team which celebrates the best-performing players from the previous calendar year.
The shortlist of nominees is then voted on by the community, picking their best goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three attackers.
Once the vote has been conducted and the final XI locked in, the players will gain massively boosted cards that are released into packs staggered by position, before the full squad is available at the same time.
There will also be a 12th Man inclusion, who will gain a TOTY version too.
As with all promos, there should be plenty of SBCs and Objectives to get stuck into, with many offering packs as rewards to help you dig for TOTY players, and some Team of the Year Honourable Mentions coming for select names too.

Honourable Mentions
Team of the Year Honourable Mentions have been a part of the TOTY campaign for a few years now and are boosted cards given in recognition of top performers from the year who didn't make the final TOTY XI.
Although they won't be as powerful as the main TOTY players they still have top stats and would get into most sides!

Nominees
Before the Team of the Year enters packs, there was a voting process that allows the community to have a say in who made the final XI.
The 100 Nominees were announced on Monday, 9 January at 11am ET / 4pm GMT, with some massive names included - and one left out!
Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't even make the 100-man shortlist, however, the usual names of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne and Virgil van Dijk are all there.
