FIFA 23 Ratings: Legendary Duo set for WORST ratings in OVER a Decade

FIFA 23 Rating season is just around the corner, with plenty of news and leaks already spilling out regarding player overalls in this year's game.

With that in mind, we want to take a look at two footballing legends who will receive their lowest Ultimate Team ratings in over a decade.

It's the end of an era in FIFA 23, with these two stars coming to the end of their illustrious careers.

End of an Era

Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been downgraded ahead of FIFA 23, with the GOATs of modern-day football receiving their lowest ratings since FIFA 11.

Lionel Messi is confirmed to drop from a 93 OVR to a 91, with the Argentine enduring a less than impressive first season in Paris.

A BIT MESSY - The Argentine star will be downgraded this year

Despite his best efforts last term, Cristiano Ronaldo has been downgraded to a 90 OVR, with the Portugal captain slipping below Messi once again in the rankings.

With Kylian Mbappe overtaking both men to become FIFA 23's top-rated star, it truly is the end of an era as Messi and Ronaldo slip out of the top spots.

Decade Slip

Both Messi and Ronaldo will receive their lowest ratings since FIFA 11.

That year, Portugal star Ronaldo received an 89 OVR as a right winger for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

On the other side of the Clasico divide, you had a 90 OVR right winger Lionel Messi, with both men competing at the very top of their game.

In many ways, it's mightily impressive that both Ronaldo and Messi are competing at the top level in 2022, but it is sad to watch both of them slow down.

That being said, Ronaldo carried a poor United side last term and Messi has started the 22/23 season on fire, so maybe it isn't the end of an era after all...

FIFA 23 Rating Leaks

A number of stars have had their ratings leaked ahead of FIFA 23, with fans currently playing the Beta version of the game pointing out some of the changes.

The likes of Benzema, Salah, Ronaldo and Kane have all had their ratings revealed, with Kylian Mbappe rumoured to be the man at the top of the ratings pile in FIFA 23.

It's worth noting that these ratings aren't final and are subject to change ahead of FIFA 23, but we believe they are unlikely to change much in the coming weeks before launch.

With some notable upgrades - and downgrades - showcased, we can all start to get excited for the unveiling of FIFA 23's 100 highest-rated stars.
