FIFA 23 Newcastle United Ratings: EXCITING times for the league's new moneybags

FIFA 23 will be released soon, and it won't be long until we get our first look at some of the brand-new ratings for each team.

Check below to see our predictions for how Newcastle United could look in this year's game, with the ratings being used throughout the Ultimate Team season and at the start of Career Mode.

Top Players

Newcastle looked like they could be dropping out of the Premier League yet again, however, Eddie Howe worked wonders with the side he inherited, got a bit of cash to splash, and easily secured safety.

With rich new owners and an exciting young manager, The Magpies are looking strong ahead of FIFA 23, and we predict their three highest-rated stars to be:

Kieran Trippier (OVR 84)

LEADING FROM THE BACK - Trippier will be instrumental for Newcastle this season

One of the first signings from the new reign, Kieran Trippier will surely keep his 84 OVR in FIFA 23.

He is one of the best-rated right-backs in the game, however, he isn't the most meta of players.

Allan Saint-Maximin (OVR 81)

WING WIZARD - Saint-Maximin brings all the flair to the party

Allan Saint-Maximin is one of the best players to watch on the pitch, with his skill and trickery driving his team forward.

With less fear of relegation and improved players around him, this could be the season we see the best of the Frenchman, with an 81 OVR predicted that could explode if he hits his stride.

Nick Pope (OVR 81)

SAFE HANDS - Nick Pope will bring plenty of Prem experience with him

A very shrewd signing, Nick Pope has been one of the best and most consistent Premier League keepers over the past few seasons.

His rating dropped from 83 OVR at the start of FIFA 22 to 81 OVR, which is where we think it will be ahead of FIFA 23, but once again, expect that to rise throughout the season.

Transfers

Matt Targett's loan move has become permanent and with the acquisitions of Nick Pope and Sven Botman, the Newcastle defence is looking in a lot better shape.

It seems like a steady improvement strategy is in place at the club, so we doubt a marquee signing like Neymar will happen anytime soon!

NEW BOY - Botman will need to adjust to Premier League life quickly

However, James Maddison is one name being linked with the club, who could bring some great creativity to the midfield.

  • Sven Botman (OVR 79)
  • Matt Targett (OVR 77)

Departures:

  • Freddie Woodman (OVR 74)
  • Dwight Gayle (OVR 72)

Rumours:

  • James Maddison (OVR 82)
  • Jack Harrison (OVR 77)

Upgrades

There could be a fair few upgrades coming to the Newcastle squad, but the biggest one might come to Joelinton.

Downgrades

We've already mentioned that Nick Pope will likely have a lower rating at the start of FIFA 23 compared to 22, and he won't be the only Newcastle player to receive that fate.
