FIFA 23 - Mbappe the most HATED player in the world

We are now bang in the middle of the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team game cycle and it's getting to the point where almost everybody has stacked squads.

Players' teams are now filled to the brim with top-tier untradeable items acquired through Squad Building Challenges, for the most part.

Thanks to the tracked statistics on the FUTBIN website, we are able to see the most liked and disliked SBC cards from the FUT 23 game cycle so far.

Well, one player is by far and away the most disliked card in the game and it's fair to say you'll be shocked when you find out who it is...

Poor Kylian

That's right - Kylian Mbappe is the most hated player in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward's 92 OVR Player of the Month (POTM) item is the card in question here.

As you can see from the stats displayed below, POTM Mbappe has received almost double the number of dislikes than any other card in FUT, with roughly 8000.

Now, the number of dislikes is largely due to the SBC's price, of course, and not to the quality of the card itself.

The POTM Mbappe item was priced at over 2 million coins. EA was able to set this extortionate price tag as the SBC dropped during the Team of the Year (TOTY) campaign when everybody was accumulating fodder.

However, there's more to this story than just the price of the SBC...

The dark side

Kylian Mbappe is, and for the foreseeable future will be, the most overpowered player in FIFA.

Everybody who owns Mbappe loves him, and anybody who doesn't own Mbappe hates playing against him.

Whether it's his 91 OVR Gold version or his 98 OVR TOTY card, Mbappe is always the best player on the pitch.

The POTM SBC offered a realistic opportunity for players to get their hands on a special Mbappe item, meaning users would be facing him more often than not.

This fact drove the community to hate the POTM Mbappe card as it is so incredibly difficult to have to defend against it each game.

The players who did in fact join the dark side and complete the POTM Mbappe SBC will not be complaining...
