Latest - Winner Announced
Unsurprisingly, Neymar has won the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award, after his 13 goal involvements in August.
It has not been confirmed if he will gain a boosted card via SBC in FUT 23, however, if one does come it will be huge!
August Nominees Revealed
As can be found on EA's official website, the nominees for the Ligue 1 Player of the Month for August have been revealed, with a couple of PSG's frightening forward line included!
The nominees are as follows:
- Lionel Messi
- Florian Sotoca
- Neymar
Lionel Messi
It is the first time Lionel Messi has featured on a Player of the Month shortlist since joining PSG, but he has started this new season with a bang!
The French champions only dropped points once in their five matches in August, in a draw with Monaco.
The mini-magician managed four assists and three goals in that time, but despite that incredible output is probably the least likely to pick up the award!
Florian Sotoca
With four wins and a draw, Lens matched PSG in August, with French forward Florian Sotoca their man of the moment.
He started the campaign with a hat-trick in a 3-2 win and followed that up with a couple of assists and a brace in the following four games.
Again, that is some going, but another man looks set to take the prize.
Neymar
A goal and three assists. Two goals. Two goals and three assists. A goal. A goal.
That is how Neymar started this Ligue 1 campaign, with 13 goal involvements in five matches!
His FIFA 23 rating may have been reduced to 89 OVR, but he is here to show EA that he still belongs in the elite.
If the Brazilian fails to win the Ligue 1 POTM award we would be amazed!
