However, that didn't last long, with updates adjusting the gameplay and the community reverting back to a meta where pace is king.

With another Golden Boot, another Ligue 1 title, the most assists in the league and for the club, and a new lucrative contract deal secured last season, Kylian Mbappe really is the king of Paris.

The Frenchman didn't receive the boost in overall rating that many expected, however, Mbappe is the outright fastest player in the game and is also regarded as the best to use!

Borussia Dortmund's young forward Karim Adeyemi gained a massive pace upgrade halfway through the FIFA 23 season to make him the second-fastest player in the game.

His pace was upgraded just after the Champions League game where he embarrassed Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez, with him also setting a new all-time Bundesliga speed record a few days earlier, with Adeyemi hitting 22.77 mph!

Vinicius Junior's pace and five-star skills make him one of the most dangerous players on FIFA 23.

He gained a huge +6 overall boost following a successful UCL winning season with Real Madrid, and the Brazilian star retains his 95 PAC stat from last year.

Alphonso Davies (OVR 84 - POT 89)

Alphonso Davies was handed a +2 upgrade in FIFA 23, with the Canadian international seeing regular gains throughout the FIFA 22 rating updates.

The Bayern Munich left-back now sits on an 84 OVR, but unfortunately with a slight downgrade to his pace, however, despite that, he still remains one of the fastest players available!

Adama Traore (OVR 77 - POT 77)

Position: RW

Pace: 95

Not only does Adama Traore have blistering pace, but he also ranks highly in the strength category, making him one of the most powerful players in the game.

The Spaniard, who returned to the Premier League following a short loan spell with Barcelona, has seen a slight drop to a 95 PAC rating, with his overall also coming down by -2.
