The end of the football season is approaching and that means one thing, the Team of the Season event has landed in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team! EA covers a wide array of leagues each year, and the Belgian Pro League TOTS often throws up some cheap alternative players with epic stats.
Some of Belgium's more well-known clubs have struggled this season, with the likes of KRC Genk, Union St. Gilloise, and Royal Antwerp upsetting the status quo. Club Brugge and Anderlecht have endured tricky seasons, so we could see a real mix of players in this year's Team of the Season squad.
Whoever is selected, expect to see some massive boosts to player stats in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team this Spring.
Belgian Pro League TOTS release date
The Belgian Pro League offered up some quality items in FIFA 22 Team of the Season, and we are excited to see what this year will bring.
While it may not be one of the major releases, there are sure to be some exciting players included.
According to leaks, the Belgian Pro League TOTS was set to be released on Sunday, 28 May, but that date has come and gone. While we did get the Super Lig at the weekend, there was no sign of Belgium's stars.
With Several bigger leagues still left and time running out, it looks like EA may end up skipping the best players from Belgium this year.

Predictions
Just because it's unlikely to happen, doesn't stop us from taking at look at which players we could get. If EA does decide to spring the Belgian Pro League on us this year then these players deserve cards.
GK - Jean Butez (OVR 88)
It looks set to be back-to-back Team of the Season appearances for Royal Antwerp stopper Jean Butez. After receiving an 88 OVR item last year, the Frenchman has kept 17 clean sheets in just 32 games, helping Royal Antwerp maintain the best defensive record in the league.
An 88 OVR may not be anything to write home about this late in the season, but any higher than that and Butez could be a star with his French chemistry links.
RB - Daniel Munoz (OVR 91)
Another player looking to make it into the Belgian Pro League TOTS squad for successive seasons is Daniel Munoz. The Colombian defender has scored seven and assisted seven goals this season, not bad for a right-back!
Munoz's excellence has been a major part of KRC Genk's title charge, so he is well deserving of a spot in the Team of the Season promo.
CB - Toby Alderweireld (OVR 92)
Former Premier League star Toby Alderweireld has been terrific at the heart of the Royal Antwerp defence this season. The Belgian international is a huge factor as to why his side's defence is the best in the league!
Alderweireld has also chipped in with five goals and two assists, so the Royal Antwerp skipper is a shoo-in for TOTS.
LB - Maxim De Cuyper (OVR 89)
Belgium under-21 star Maxim De Cuyper has enjoyed a terrific season at KVC Westerlo, on loan from Club Brugge. Playing mostly at left-back, De Cuyper has racked up eight goals and six assists as KVC Westerlo looks to qualify for Europe.
Sergio Gomez got snapped up by Man City after appearing in the Belgian Pro League TOTS squad, so keep an eye out for De Cuyper!
CM - Teddy Teuma (OVR 91)
Union St. Gilloise captain Teddy Teuma should be one of the first names in this season's squad after a mighty impressive campaign. The Malta international has nine goals and nine assists so far and could make it double figures in each category.
Teuma has also been instrumental in Union SG's terrific run in the Europa League where they have reached the quarter-finals.
CM - Adem Zorgane (OVR 90)
Sporting Charleroi's Algerian maestro Adem Zorgane is one of the highest-rated players in Belgium this season. Though his side may be languishing in mid-table, Zorgane has shown his class.
Zorgane's four goals and eight assists are impressive on their own, but his overall contribution to his team makes him a contender to be one of the Belgian TOTS' most highly-rated players.
CM - Bryan Heynan (OVR 89)
Another midfielder wearing the captain's armband, Bryan Heynan is into double figures for goals this season. A proper box-to-box midfielder, Heynan will likely be rewarded for his efforts in May.
A strong Belgian contingent in this season's squad including Heynan could provide some useful links to players like Kevin De Bruyne and Thomas Meunier.
RW - Joseph Paintsil (OVR 92)
Joseph Paintsil is the only player in the Belgian Pro League to reach double figures for both goals and assists so far this season. The rapid Ghanaian winger has 12 goals and 12 assists and will surely feature in Team of the Season.
Paintsil has already received an 81 OVR TOTW item boasting 97 Pace in FUT 23, so we are expecting a 99 Pace TOTS item soon!
LW - Mike Tresor (OVR 93)
It is no surprise to see KRC Genk at the top of the league when they boast the two players with the most goal involvements this season. Mike Tresor has thrived on the left, providing a league-high 18 assists.
Tresor has also chipped in with eight goals himself, with his 26 G/A involvements two more than his teammate Paintsil.
ST - Hugo Cuypers (OVR 91)
Belgian striker Hugo Cuypers is firm-favourite to lead the line in this year's Belgian TOTS squad. Cuypers has netted 19 goals in 31 games so far this season, leading the goalscoring charts at this late stage of the season.
Things may have been different had Paul Onuachu not joined Southampton in January though as the giant striker had already bagged 16 goals!
ST - Vincent Janssen (OVR 88)
A name that will be familiar to Spurs fans, Dutch striker Vincent Janssen appears to have rediscovered his scoring touch in Belgium. Janssen has fired 16 goals for Royal Antwerp in 29 matches thus far.
Dutch chemistry links could be useful, but Janssen is unlikely to be a standout player in this season's Belgian TOTS selection.
