The FIFA 23 leaks are coming thick and fast and it looks like the entire Arsenal squad ratings have been revealed ahead of release.
Club captain Martin Odegaard leads the Arsenal squad ratings this year alongside midfield axe-man Thomas Partey, with 84 OVR cards being handed to the classy centre-mids.
Talented England youngsters Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have been bumped up following outstanding 2021/22 campaigns, whilst Aaron Ramsdale has been given the largest boost in the squad with a giant +8 OVR.
However, whilst several Arsenal players have been upgraded this year, fans of the North London club will NOT be happy with certain player ratings, to say the least.
Centre-Backs Slandered
Defensively, Arsenal have undoubtedly improved under Mikel Arteta.
Thanks to multiple signings, coupled with the coaching from the Spanish manager, the Gunners are able to play a modern style of football in which the centre-backs are considered ball players as much as any other player.
24-year-old Brazil international Gabriel Magalhaes and 24-year-old England international Ben White were excellent through spells of last season.
In fact, only four Premier League teams kept more clean sheets than the Gunners in the 2021/22 season.
In fairness, EA has handed Gabriel a +2 OVR, but we still think the Brazilian should be rated higher, perhaps as an 83 OVR.
Similarly, Ben White has been bumped up by 3 OVR ratings, but a 79 OVR is incredibly harsh. As one of the best ball-playing centre-halves in the league, White deserves at least an 81 OVR in FIFA 23.
Team Players Tarnished
Here's where Arsenal fans' blood will really start to boil.
Firstly, technically gifted four-time Premier League winner Oleksandr Zinchenko has somehow been downgraded this year.
This makes NO sense whatsoever. The only reason we can possibly fathom this change is that EA wants to punish the left-back for moving to Arsenal.
Granit Xhaka has not had the smoothest journey at the Emirates, but the Swiss international is no doubt one of the most important players in the team.
The consistent central midfielder has surely merited an 82 OVR for FIFA 23 and not another 79-rated card.
At the very least, EA should be able to recognise that Zinchenko and Xhaka have to be rated higher than the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Hector Bellerin.
Eddie Outraged
Despite a disappointing end to the Premier League campaign in which Arsenal failed to finish in the top four, one shining light was English forward Eddie Nketiah.
The 23-year-old managed to net five goals in the last seven matches of the season, playing some brilliant football in the process.
We would have expected a +3 OVR for Eddie this time around, but instead, EA has come to the decision that a -1 OVR fits best.
A downgrade to Eddie Nketiah in FIFA 23 is just downright disrespectful.
The new Arsenal number 14 has already shown just how good he is this season, having come on and made a difference in the Gunner's 2-1 win over Fulham at the Emirates.
