FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has introduced another End of an Era card to the game.
Former England international Jermain Defoe has hung up his boots after a stellar career, scoring goals wherever he went.
Defoe's retirement comes mid-season as he leaves EFL League One Sunderland having managed just two starts this season.
Check out his new card and find out how to unlock it for your club below.
Goal machine
Jermain Defoe's career has spanned across four decades, and he has been bagging goals for club and country ever since.
With 163 Premier League goals for five different clubs, Defoe sits ninth in the all-time goalscoring list during the Premier League era.
Defoe also scored 20 goals for England in 57 appearances, including the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup tie against Slovenia.
With over 300 career goals, Defoe could be in with a chance of picking up an Icon or FUT Heroes item in FIFA 23 too.
Jermain Defoe (OVR 90)

There is one squad needed to submit to unlock the 90-rated card, with the requirements as follows:
Jermain Defoe
- Minimum one England player
- Minimum 85 Team Rating
- Minimum 55 Team Chemistry
- 11 Players in the squad
Reward - 1 x End of an Era Jermain Defoe
Estimated Cost – 66.55k (PlayStation) / 68.4k (Xbox)
Worth it?
Jermain Defoe has received a top card, as he deserves, with the base stats of a 92-rated striker.
With 96 Positioning, 92 Finishing, 97 Agility, 97 Balance, 93 Reactions and 98 Composure he will be lethal in the box.
Add a Marksman and you have a 96-rated striker, with 98 SHO, 97 DRI and 88 PHY!
Unfortunately, playing in EFL League One really lets this card down.
If you can link him with other English players he could be a star for your team, otherwise, we wouldn't worry about completing him.
Who's next?
Well, we thought West Ham club captain Mark Noble was destined for an End of an Era card this season, but that may have been put on hold.
Noble is currently the longest-serving player for any club in the Premier League, but his FUT Captains item may be a sign that he won't receive another special item.
Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta could be the next player potentially included, but that would mean ending his contract early as it does not expire until January 2024!
Iniesta is almost guaranteed to become an Icon player in FIFA Ultimate Team at some point, so an End of an Era card upon his retirement is a must.
