Warzone's next major update is finally here and we hope you have been preparing your hard drives for the Season 5 download size. It is going to be as big as you think, so you're going to need to keep some space free. Here's everything we know so far...
How much storage space are you going to need?
The Warzone Season 5 download is going to be around 20GB in size, depending on your platform.
Looking at the content roadmap... It looks like Warzone Season 5 is going to roughly add the same amount of content as Warzone Season 4, though. So, why is it so much bigger?
Warzone's Season 4 update was the following size:
- PlayStation 5: 11 GB
- PlayStation 4: 11 GB
- Xbox Series X / Xbox Series S: 11.2 GB
- Xbox One: 11.2 GB
- PC: 12.3 GB (Warzone Only) / 13.5 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)
You can find out more about the copying process Warzone and Modern Warfare utilise on consoles here.
We can only assume that the download is that much bigger due to the midseason "Numbers" event that's in the works... That and the "Call of Duty 2021" reveal event.
When does Season 5 come out?
Warzone's next title update was released on August 12th at the following times:
- 21:00 August 11th - PST
- 00:00 August 12th - EST
- 05:00 August 12th - BST
The Black Ops Cold War Season 5 update is also now available. This means you should be able to start working your way towards the new weapons in both titles. Good luck, Operator!
