Modern Warfare 2 Infected Release Date
Infected is now confirmed to release with Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2, according to a tweet from the official Call of Duty account. This will be in addition to all the changes we expect with the new season.
New maps are promised, including the new Castle map that will be present in the new Warzone 2 rebirth map. The theme for the season will be a feudal Japanese theme, as confirmed by the official artwork for the new season being released.
Season 2 and the new mode will release on the 15th of February, after a short delay from the expected release date of the 1st of the month. This would be a massive addition to the new season of Modern Warfare 2, along with the new maps and Battle Pass we expect.
What is Infected in Call of Duty?
The game starts with all players being survivors. After a certain amount of time, one player will be chosen as the infected. This player will now only have a melee weapon, but gain a movement speed boost.
The aim of the game in Modern Warfare 2 will be for the infected to convert all survivors to their cause, by killing them. This can be challenging, as survivors will have guns, but once a few players are infected the survivors can be quickly overwhelmed.
The mode is a fan favourite as it retains a very casual feel, much like gun-game, and is great to hop on for a quick match.
