Which weapon is Assault Rifle Golf in Warzone & What's changing with it?

There's one thing in the Warzone Season 4 Patch Notes that has everyone asking the same question: Which weapon is Assault Rifle Golf in Warzone?

Here's everything you need to know about this weapon and the changes it's undergoing in the newest title update.

There Are Two Assault Rifles Labelled As "Golf"

Following the Black Ops Cold War content integration into Warzone, there's been a doubling up on some terminology. Both games have an RPG, for example. There's also two AK-47's to keep tabs on.

One thing Warzone does is organize its weapons using the phonetic alphabet. This means there's two "Assault Rifle Alpha" listings, two "Sniper Rifle Bravo" listings, and so on...

The Warzone Season 4 Patch Notes refer to Assault Rifle Golf, but which weapon is this actually?

AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC - It's had a tough time, but the FN SCAR 17 has a high damage output

Well, the FN SCAR 17 and FARA 83 are both classed as Assault Rifle Golf and it looks like both of them are going to be affected by the tweaks going forwards. However, the Patch Notes are specifically mentioning the Modern Warfare Assault Rifle Golf. This means the FN SCAR 17 is being referred to. However, players are finding the FARA 83 has been tweaked too.

The Assault Rifle Golf Changes

Below, we have the changes that have been made to Assault Rifle Golf and comments from Raven Software about the state of the weapon.

  • Neck Damage Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.5
  • Upper Torso damage multiplier increased from 1 to 1.2

" We would like to avoid increasing the power level of a Weapon to a point where we would need to reduce it shortly after in the following balance overhaul. With that being said, the Assault Rifle Golf (MW) may soon see another power increase in the near future, but we think an improvement to its average Time to Kill is a good place to start."

It looks like the FN SCAR 17 meta might be fast approaching. It's worth keeping an eye on this one.
