Battlefield 2042: How to use Parachute

Battlefield 2042's gameplay is just what you'd expect from a Battlefield game, only turned up to eleven. A lot of Battlefield 2042's gameplay will have you running around on the ground, but there's always a reason to get a height advantage on your opponents and a lot of ways you can do that. Whether you're jumping from a crumbling skyscraper or flinging yourself off of a cliff edge - or perhaps you're abandoning your jet fighter as a missile closes in - you're going to need to know how to activate and use your parachute in Battlefield 2042.

Thankfully, this is the easy part... Landing alive is another matter.

BATTLEFIELD 2042 PARACHUTE - How to use

If you want to use your parachute in Battlefield 2042, all you need to do is hit the "Jump Input" while you're in the air and you should deploy your Parachute. This isn't going to be a surprise to fans who play Battlefield games regularly, but if you're new... Here's what you need to be doing - as long as you haven't changed your keybinds on PC.

  • Xbox - A Button
  • PC - Space

If you're looking for a Wingsuit, which appeared heavily in the marketing for Battlefield 2042 and encapsulates the thrilling new gameplay being presented, you're going to need to play as one Specialist forever.

FLYING SQUIRREL - This is a lot faster than a parachute, to be fair

We know, we know. It's a pain... But each Specialist has a certain unique gadget in Battlefield 2042 - sort of like Rainbow Six Siege - and the Wingsuit is only available for Emma "Sundance" Rosier, an Assault Specialist who also comes equipped with "Smart Explosives". It's safe to say that they're going to be a popular choice going forwards.

We might see another Specialist don the wingsuit in the future, but Battlefield 2042 Season 1 doesn't start until early 2022 - so we won't know for a while.
