It is time, Wolf-Kissed, to start the next chapter of your journey. The Wrath of the Druids DLC is out now and the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla has just got a little bit bigger.
LATEST - The Wrath of the Druids is Out Now
The Wrath of the Druids DLC, as you can see from the header above, is out right now! Ubisoft has shared the Worldwide Release Times for the new DLC, differentiating between those who own the Season Pass and those who want to purchase it as a Standalone expansion.
If you want to access the DLC, all you need to do is make sure you've played through the opening of the game and make sure you've reached the point where Eivor establishes Raventhorpe.
You should then automatically have a Quest start if you're at this point and there will be an Irish Trader at the Ravensthorpe dock waiting to take you away.
Wrath of the Druids Trailer
Ubisoft has just shared a brand new trailer for the upcoming Wrath of the Druids DLC expansion ahead of its release on May 13th.
We get a brand new look at the Children of Danu and what their deal is alongside a fresh look at Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Ireland and several of the key locations Eivor is going to find herself/himself exploring through this content expansion.
It's time to bury the past and help Ireland come together to build the future as a united nation. We don't know whether this will be under the rule of Flann Sinna, but it looks like we might be seeing his rise to High King throughout the several splintering narratives.
You can watch the trailer for yourself below:
DLC Release Date
Isn't this DLC meant to be out already? Yes, but actually no.
The Wrath of the Druids DLC was originally due to release on April 29th but Ubisoft saw it fit to push it back a couple of weeks. We don't really have any reasoning as to why, with Ubisoft only sharing the tweet below.
However, the Easter-themed Ostara Festival managed to fill any lapse in new content. If you're a Valhalla veteran, we can imagine you're eager to get your hands on the new DLC. Thankfully, we're almost there.
The revised release date of May 13th is the one Ubisoft is sticking to.
New Character Information
We still don't really know what's going to happen in the Wrath of the Druids DLC and we don't really know what Eivor is getting herself in for. At this point, we just have to hope Randvi is doing her research, right?
Well, Ubisoft has finally started talking about the actual content of the update and so far we have a new look at two of the new characters. Well, one character and what could be a new faction.
Firstly, we've got our first look at Flann Sinna. He's the High King of Ireland and undoubtedly a chap you're going to want on your good side in the Wrath of the Druids DLC.
Then, we've been given a better look at the Children of Danu. Ubisoft is referring to them as The Cursed, which bodes well. We don't know whether these Cultists will be a friend or foe to Eivor but we can imagine that they're going to clash heads at some point.
Wrath of the Druids File Size
We don't have anything too official about the Wrath of the Druids DLC download file size, but there are some data miners out there that have done the digging for us.
PlayStationSize has uncovered what they believe to be the file size for the new Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC expansion and it's going to be a pretty hefty update.
They believe that it should be about 12.5GB on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. This will most likely be a little bit less on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as the previous Title Update was almost half the size on Sony's consoles.
As for PC players, we're looking at a little less than Xbox's download but it'll still probably float around the 11GB mark.
We won't know for sure until we get the official Patch Notes from Ubisoft, so take this with a grain of salt.
Additional Features
At the moment, we don't really know what else is coming. Leaks have been a little light in relation to actual gameplay features, but we do have a leak regarding the new cosmetic items.
As you might have expected, there's going to be quite a few new items up for grabs. We should be seeing...
- Seven New Armour Sets
- Basim-Inspired Outfit
- Seven New Weapons
- New Tattoo Sets & Hair Designs
- New Sets of Boat Cosmetics
- Mounts, Ravens, Settlement Cosmetics and More
