Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first major DLC content expansion, The Wrath of the Druids is out right now. It's taking you to the Irish Coast and brings a lot of new content.

Here's the latest if you haven't seen much about it yet.

LATEST - The Wrath of the Druids is Out Now

If you weren't aware, the Wrath of the Druids DLC is actually out right now! Yesterday, Ubisoft shared the worldwide release times for the expansion, differentiating between both Season Pass owners and those who want to purchase the expansion as a standalone DLC.

If you want to access the DLC, all you need to do is make sure you've played through the opening of the game and make sure you've reached the point where Eivor establishes Raventhorpe.

You should then automatically have a Quest start if you're at this point and there will be an Irish Trader at the Ravensthorpe dock waiting to take you away.

File Size Uncovered

A recent update from PlayStationSize has given us two exciting things regarding the new Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC expansion.

Firstly, we know that the update is looking like it will be about 12.5GB on Xbox consoles. This will vary slightly for PS4 and PS5, but it won't be too different with any luck.

Secondly, we have some new photos from the expansion that showcase some exciting things. You can check out both below:

Wrath of the Druids Trailer

Ubisoft has just released a new trailer and given us our first look at the upcoming Wrath of the Druids DLC expansion ahead of its release on May 13th.

In the trailer, we get a brand new look at the Children of Danu and the chaos they're causing alongside a fresh look at Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Ireland. We don't know where is where just yet, but we get a good look at several of the key locations Eivor is going to find herself/himself exploring through this content expansion.

It's time to bury the past and help Ireland come together to build the future as a united nation. We don't know whether this will be under the rule of Flann Sinna, but it looks like we might be seeing his rise to High King throughout the several splintering narratives.

You can watch the trailer for yourself below:

New Characters Revealed

Ubisoft has finally started talking about the upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC in more detail and they've started off the conversation by introducing two new characters to fans.

The Children of Danu are as mysterious as they come and as allegedly cursed cultists, we can imagine Eivor is going to clash blades with them throughout the Wrath of the Druids DLC.

On the other hand, we also get to meet Flann Sinna, the High King of Ireland. We're still not sure as to whether he will see Eivor as a friend or a foe, but we know that he'll be playing a big part in the upcoming DLC expansion.

New Content Update Roadmap

We already know that Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Wrath of the Druids DLC expansion is due to release on May 13th, following a delay, but now Ubisoft has also shared a little more about what's coming to their title beyond that.

The next Title Update, which is numbered 1.2.2, is due Late Spring alongside the Mastery Challenge Game Mode update. The new game mode will also be free, unlike the Wrath of the Druids DLC. So, that's something to look forwards to!

You can also get an insight into the timelines and pipeline processes that Ubisoft go through with their bigger Title Updates, as opposed to the minor Hotfix updates they release, through their Development Blog here.

Cross-Platform Trophies

If there's one thing that's confused fans, it's the fact that a PS5 version of a game has a different Trophy list as the PS4 version.

Okay, sometimes there are a few additional trophies on the list that are attributed to some of the newer next-gen features... But, for the most part, they're the same. Well, Ubisoft has made a subtle but huge change to how Valhalla's trophies work and it should help if you're going to be switching up your platform soon.

" All trophies achieved on PS4 will now be unlocked on PS5. (Trophies including Viking Legend, Calling in a Favor, As It Was Foretold, Disorder of the Ancients, Skadi's Hobby, Silent Viking, and Orlog Champion. should now unlock retroactively when conditions were met previously.)"

We're still waiting on more details about The Wrath of the Druids, but this will be a fantastic bit of news to anyone hoping to switch up to the next generation of consoles after it launches on May 13th.

Season Pass or Standalone?

Like with any major game, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has a Season Pass that offers all of it's major paid expansions at a discounted price. However, is Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Season Pass going to be worth the Wrath of the Druids DLC?

We think it definitely will be. Valhalla only has two major DLC expansions coming, with a lot of its' content already being added for free in numerous title updates.

The Wrath of the Druids DLC is priced at $USD 24.99 and the Season Pass is $USD 39.99. This means, at the very least you're saving yourself $USD 9.98 if the "Siege of Paris" DLC is priced the same.
