There are many important mechanics in WWE 2K25, and dragging an opponent is one of them, even if it might not seem like it.
This mechanic allows you to place your opponents exactly where you want them, making it easy to hit a finisher, a high-flying move, and to move them away from the ropes to perform a successful pin.
It's a simple yet very effective and useful mechanic that can be used in single matches, tag matches, triple threat matches, and even in special matches such as Money in the Bank or Steel Cage.
How to Drag an Opponent in WWE 2K25
The drag controls haven't changed in WWE 2K25, so if you are a veteran player, you're probably already familiar with them. For those of you who are new to the WWE 2K franchise or simply don't remember the controls, we will teach you how to execute this mechanic.
You need to press B on Xbox, O on PlayStation, and L on PC to initiate a grab. This works whether the player is standing up or lying down on the mat.

After initiating the grab, you need to press LB on Xbox, L1 on PlayStation, and U on PC to start dragging your opponent. You can choose where to drag him by using the left stick on both consoles and the movement keys on PC.
To stop the drag, you only need to press LB on Xbox, L1 on PlayStation, and U on PC.
You can drag your opponent to the middle of the mat, to one of the corners of the ring, and you can even drag him on the outside, placing him against one of the barricades or the announcer's table.
This can help you set up your opponent for a finisher from the top rope, for a super running finisher, for a signature move, or for a standard elbow or leg drop.
It's also useful to drag your opponent to the middle of the ring, where you can perform a cover or submission without giving your opponent a chance to get a rope break.
