World of Warcraft: Classic's Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch is well underway which means that not only are players prepping themselves by garnering consumables, gold, and leveling their brand-new Death Knights, but they're also encountering a plague that's been ravaging Azeroth.

If you're one of the unlucky few—or lucky few if you want to willingly partake in this activity—you have been infected with a disease debuff that, if not removed as soon as possible, has you turn into a not-so-mindless zombie, running around and having others join you.

For some, it's one hell of a fun ride, getting to infect others and, for the most part, grief and ruin player experience. For others, it's an outright nuisance as they want to just turn in their quest and keep moving along.

Erring on the side of it being a nuisance? We've got you covered... Here's how to remove You’re Infected debuff in the Zombie Invasion event

Dubiously dubbed "You're Infected!," players who are infected by this disease debuff have a short 10-minute window to get rid of it. In the event they aren't able to get it removed they'll turn into a zombie, gaining a brand-new set of abilities that promotes them to spread the disease even further— "A zombie has infected you. Find a cure before it's too late!."

YOU'RE INFECTED: Zombies have been going around infected players with diseases

If you're one of the people who happened to be unfortunate enough to be bitten by a zombie or another player in this case, and you want it removed you'll have two options: have another player dispel it or go to your nearest Argent Healer.

In the same way players can infect you others can cure you. Just go to your nearby Paladin or Priest—which can cure diseases—and ask them for aid. As opposed to the normally curable debuff, this disease is quite strong which means that whatever player is dispelling it will have to press the spell more than a handful of times for it to completely wear off.

If you can't locate a Paladin or a Priest you'll have the option to go to your closest Argent Healer. These can be found in several cities around Azeroth: Stormwind and Ironforge for Alliance, Orgrimmar and Undercity for Horde—Light's Hope Chapel serves as a neutral option. Players in Outlands can go to Shatttrath City.

You'll want to get this disease removed by any means necessary because if you don't you'll turn into a zombie. Once the transformation is complete, the only way to get out of it is by dying.
