Today is the day, early access to Warzone's Pacific Map, called Caldera, begins on December 8. However, knowing Call of Duty games, there will be a big update to download before you can start playing. If you're wanting to play as soon as possible, here's what you need to know about the Warzone Pacific map preload details and when you can play the new map.
Preload Warzone Pacific Map Update Now
You can now preload and install the Warzone Pacific Map update on all platforms. Below are download sizes:
- PlayStation: 44.678 GB
- Xbox: 41 GB
- PC: 65 GB
It's not a case of the update installing later on, either. The update will download and install now, but you won't be able to play the game yet.
As pointed out by Charlie Intel on Twitter, you're met by a screen when loading up the game which confirms that the servers will be back later today, introducing the new Caldera map.
When Can You Play Warzone Pacific?
As the message says when you open up the game following the download of the update, you will be able to play Warzone Pacific at 12pm ET/1pm GMT on December 8.
As soon as the clock strikes that time, re-load the game and you should be able to jump in.
However, that's only for some people. Only people who have purchased CoD Vanguard will be able to play Warzone Pacific on December 8.
Anyone else will have to wait 24 hours, with their access beginning at the same time on December 9.
Patch Notes
The first set of patch notes, which will be live on December 9, have already been revealed.
You can check them out in the tweet from Raven below.
With so many new weapons being added to the game, there will inevitably be many balancing patches coming over the next few weeks.
