Warzone Server Downtime OVER: Pacific Update Live One Hour Early

The update is finally here! The next Warzone update is so big that the servers were taken offline to deal with it, but now they're back! Below is everything you need to know about the Warzone Pacific downtime and everything new.

Latest - Warzone Pacific Out One Hour Early

Raven and Activision have surprised us all by dropping Warzone Pacific one hour early. If you've bought Vanguard, you can jump in to play now.

Just load up the game and wait for the maintenance message to disappear and you'll be able to play. For now, you can only play Quads.

ANTI-CHEAT - What's in place when servers go live?

The Ricochet Anti-Cheat system is finally here - well, sort of. If you're in the Asia-Pacific region, you should see the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system in play on your servers when the Warzone servers go back online later today.

If not, you might have to wait... Here's what Raven Software have had to say about it all.

" With the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific tomorrow, #TeamRICOCHET continues its new anti-cheat security initiative with the rollout of an internally developed PC kernel-level driver for Warzone, which will activate first in the Asia-Pacific region before expanding worldwide."

At the moment, there's no word on the timeline of the rollout.

DOWNLOAD - Warzone's latest update is huge

If you were wondering whether you have space for the Warzone Pacific update, then you've got all the information you need to know below. We know when the Warzone servers are going to be back up - but how big is the latest download?

Well... Here's what Raven Software has shared:

  • PlayStation 5
    • 44.7GB
  • PlayStation 4
    • 44.7GB
  • Xbox Series X|S
    • 41.2GB
  • Xbox One
    • 41.2GB
  • PC
    • 37.8GB (Warzone only)
    • 69.1GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)

Yeah... You're going to need quite a lot of storage space for this one - we don't know how much the overall file size will increase by, though, given the fact that Caldera is replacing Verdansk and not being added as an additional map.

PLANNED DOWNTIME - When does this start?

Following the "Last Hours of Verdansk" playlist, Warzone's servers are expected to be down for a short period ahead of the Warzone Pacific update's release. Here's a timeline of events to keep you on top of things...

"Last Hours of Verdansk" playlist - Start

  • 10:00 PST - December 6th
  • 13:00 EST - December 6th
  • 18:00 GMT - December 6th

"Last Hours of Verdansk" playlist - End / Server Downtime - Start

  • 21:00 PST - December 7th
  • 00:00 EST - December 8th
  • 05:00 GMT - December 8th

Server Downtime - End / Warzone Pacific Update - Start

  • 09:00 PST - December 8th
  • 12:00 EST - December 8th
  • 17:00 GMT - December 8th

Here's everything we know about the timeline of events at the moment - this is subject to change but should be accurate unless otherwise specified by the Call of Duty development team.

This information was spotted on the Warzone Trello Board - a place that is used to communicate when Warzone events are due to take place and what gameplay issues are currently being worked on by the development team. Check it out below:

Call of Duty hasn't specified what to expect in the "Last Hours of Verdansk" playlist - but with Warzone servers going down after, we should expect something of a dramatic finish to Verdansk's time as the main Warzone map.

We don't think it's going to live up to a Fortnite event, though, given what we've seen from Warzone's in-game events in the past.
