How long Resident Evil Village takes to beat

Resident Evil Village is finally here and it continues the story of Ethan Winter and his terribly unlucky family.

If you're jumping into the game, you'll likely be wondering what exactly you're in for and how long the game is going to take to beat.

Well, we've got the answer for you so that you're not surprised when the adventure comes to a close.

How Long Is Resident Evil Village?

Resident Evil games don't tend to be the longest, traditionally. After all, players have been able to race through previous titles in just an hour or two.

While Resident Evil Village isn't the longest game in the world, especially compared to the 100 hour long mammoths that we're used to nowadays, it's only a little longer than the series average.

Resident Evil Village should take you around 10 hours to beat on Normal difficulty.

Of course, that depends on a few factors. First, if you get stuck on some of the puzzles or boss fights, you'll end up spending longer than that figure.

Also, if you're intent on finding every secret and every upgrade, as well as buying everything in The Duke's shop, you'll be spending longer on top of that too.

On the other hand, though, you could race through the game if you're used to Resident Evil's style of level design.

Got an eye for a puzzle? Then Village should only take you around the eight hour mark to beat.

I'm sure people will speedrun it in less time than that down the line, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

All Locations in Resident Evil

There are five different main locations (areas) in Resident Evil Village that you'll make your way through. They are:

  • Village
  • Castle
  • Windmill
  • Stronghold
  • House Beneviento

Once you've seen all of them, you can be pretty sure that you're not too far from the end.

Either way, 10 hours is a good estimate for how long most players will spend beating Resident Evil Village. Now you know what to expect when you jump in for yourself.
